In 2000, DLJMB acquired Focus Diagnostics, a scientifically driven infectious disease diagnostics company that has consistently been among the first to develop diagnostics for new infectious disease agents such as West Nile Virus and SARS. The fund exited the investment via a strategic sale in 2006 to Quest Diagnostics, the nation’s leading provider of diagnostic testing, information and services and Eurofins Scientific, a global leader in bio-analysis.
